If we had to choose one highlight since we moved to Hedgebottom Home Two it has to be our success in watching and photographing badgers.
We knew from walking through the woodland badgers were close by all we had to do was figure out where. After some detective work, including talking to our close friend Harry Green from the Wildlife Trust, we had a good idea where to place our remote camera.
Since 2003 we've been able to watch and video badgers virtually every night. Some of our earlier efforts, and technical information, are on the next page.
Our latest cameras and infrared lights are providing us with some stunning colour video and stills of the badgers.
These two pictures are of the same badger.
Known affectionately as Back Right!
Sometimes artificial illumination isn't needed. Recently one of the badgers has felt it safe enough to venture out into the open some 90 minutes before darkness falls.
