If like me you have been glued to BBC2 with Autumnwatch, you will be looking out for all sorts of things now be it in your garden, local park or woodland.
Conkers the best I’ve seen at Hedgebottom in four years, Ash keys have been amazing, nuts are huge and Hawthorn berries a plenty and as for Holly, keep it quiet otherwise they’ll be gone into someones flower arrangement.
Finally some pictures to put on the website, but sadly not of the visitors we had a week ago at 5.45pm - 2 Muntjac deer, we knew we had them around but never seen them before, and knowing how shy they are, perhaps never will again although the way they are breeding in this country - who knows !
Perhaps my favourite season now, any excuse to get the wellies out, the hat on and the kicking of leaves compulsory to remind us all that we’re only as old as we want to be !
