Philip the pheasant is in his prime this year, never witnessed one with such a beautiful crown and the red round his eye - wow, no wonder he has a few ladies walking out with him - just wish he would stick to the paths and not across the daffs !
Green Woodpecker very vocal, Greater Spotted very cheeky and taking part in the RSPB Garden Bird Watch, some 35 goldfinches now pop in, this from a lass who always wanted to attract them, and not done with Niger seed either - sunflower hearts is the name of the game, expensive yes, but worth every penny.
We’re getting a little excited too by the fact there is some buzzard activity in the tree opposite the lounge window, we’ve seen and heard the birds in the neighbouring copse, we can only think a new pair has settled in or an offshoot of the family perhaps - we’ll try and get a few pictures for the site.
