A busy few days compering at Malvern Spring Show and also last night the Worcestershire Gala Concert at Birmingham Symphony Hall, needless to say at the moment I've managed to open one eye, now just working on the other.
Well done as always to the youngsters in the show, one thousand of them and most of them taller than me. We said good bye to my right hand man Chris Stowell who is retiring and I wish him well. He'll always be Bernie to me as he bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain Mr Ecclestone. Just hope who ever they get to come in does look like a celebrity, and you never know, George Clooney must have a double somewhere!
Speaking of gorgeous fellas, Spring Show saw both James Alexander Sinclair and Joe Swift back on the stage again which is always great fun. They are such lovely people, a joy to work with and always make me feel part of a team which not everybody does. They're both at Chelsea on the tele this year so look out for them. I also had the pleasure of working with garden designer Cleve West who alongside the boys form the (and I have to get this right), internet sensation that is 'Three Men Went To Mow'! James is the posh one, Joe the loud one, and Cleve the smouldering one, and I can see why. What a gentleman, another lovely chap to work alongside and hope we do so again.

I have my fingers crossed I'll be able to go to Chelsea on Press Day with my writing hat on, and that's not far away so I'll let you know.
At home the lambs are growing, the hens still laying and the cows about to move to a rented field, so what's the betting when we walk them there on halters we hear the comment 'most people get a dog!'
