A lot of my pals are celebrating their fortieth birthdays this year so catching me up, especially as I'm going the other way now!

My friend Kath is forty today and doing something she's never done before - having a pedicure. Now what is it about feet? I couldn't let anyone touch mine and I'd struggle touching theirs, although you'd have laughed today as we were chatting about making sure they were clean before she went, should she get rid of the hard skin and even cutting her nails - bit like having a cleaner and cleaning before they arrive. One thing we did agree though is that there should be no sign of hairy toes!

Staying with hairy, does anyone else think that a man with unruly eyebrows is a man who isn't loved? Watched Jeremy Clarkson on QI the other night and couldn't take my eyes of him because of it. Other things keeping me looking at the box are the Paralympics which always make me cry, I think they're wonderful. Caught a bit of Alan Titchmarsh on his afternoon show yesterday thinking to myself I know your inside leg measurement and a week on Saturday 'Strictly Come Dancing' is back and then it's Christmas!

Focal Radio update is that we should be up and running on November 5, they tried to recreate the big bang today so we'll have ours then.
