Sunday 11 January

Sure as anything, there was the Buzzard sitting right above the arc where the hens were having to stay for the day, hoping he or she will get bored and then they can get back to doing their own thing. I did let them out for a couple of hours this afternoon when I was having a bonfire - they're happy and I now smell of smoke!
Didn't get a take away last night and what with going up and down that hill today I best have lost at least a pound, and any minute now I'm making 'Spicy Vegetable Soup' which I saw on the tele the other day so wish me luck.
Meant to say that I spoke with Colleen Nolan last Wednesday and she is taking part in 'Dancing on Ice' which starts tonight. What a fab lady, same age we are and turns out we both have a thing for Simon Cowell.
You know every so often you get a blast from the past? last time it happened to me was when I heard on my message board at the BBC from our old vicar and his wife from Grimsby days so knew Mum and Dad very well and me as I was growing up, turns out they live in Worcestershire and used to listen to my morning show, anyway, it's happened again but this time someone I was at college with some twenty five years ago and that was the last time we were in touch - don't think I owe her any money!
Ah well, here's to soup for tea and having my hair done next Saturday - it's not just the roots that need doing.
