Friday 12 December
So what with a dodgy washing machine and DVD player, add now me with a very cheap chest - I've got Bronchitis! It's that bad the doctor asked me to stop smoking - I don't smoke! Needless to say it's been a quiet week at home as I've not been able to work as for two days I had no voice (Glyn was happy) and the other two feeling very sorry for myself in bed. I don't know why it is but when you feel poorly you always miss your mum more than ever, I did mention to Glyn that as a treat I did used to get a packet of Jelly Tots - and he got me some!
Hoping to go and get our tree tomorrow which will get us in the Christmas spirit, we'll be heading to our pal Colin who farms in Herefordshire and is part of the British Christmas Tree Growers Association so you know exactly what you're getting and for a fair price.
Just looking out the window and it's still white over here, and coming down the bank is 'Philip' the Pheasant who looks like he's rounding up yet another female to join his harem, last count he had six in it!
Cows are certainly enjoying their hay at the moment and Ruby the youngest one has really developed her character since being here. Yesterday when giving them their grub, right from the top of the hill came running what can only be described as a moving mass of swirling red hair which on making it to the bottom in break neck speed put the brakes on but still managed to bump into me - think she needs her fringe trimming!
My online Christmas cards have arrived so slowly doing those by the fire, and can't believe how quickly my advent calendar is running out of squares. What ever you're doing this weekend, enjoy x
