Tuesday 12 May
I'll be glad when this wind goes, poor old birds have got enough on their plate feeding youngsters without having to use valuable energy trying to fly in a straight line. Been a real good day for spotting baby birds though, and really pleased to see two House Sparrow youngsters being fed by Mum. Once again we've done well with the Blackbirds and as well as Blue Tits using a nest box in the copse, I was watching another one being occupied by a Nuthatch family.
Had a good walk this morning with the dogs, we've discovered a wood nearby which I hadn't realised has a public footpath in one part of it so it's a good hour there and back with no one else around.
Done some planting in the garden today as I'm off for a few days now, one of the nicest things about being at The Spring Show in Malvern is you really pick up ideas so I've tried out a few different plants, and having visited my favourite stall which sells all things vintage, Glyn has been busy painting an old flat bed barrow for me that I picked up. It's a little harder to hide than clothes which you can pop in the wardrobe and then get them out at some stage with the words 'I've had this ages'
