Monday 13 April
Thirteen years ago today I lost my Mum, so always a tough day to get through, especially as it was Easter back then as well and even after all these years I still remember everything that happened that day. I've planted a little something in the garden so here's to another memory.
Hope you're having a good Easter, I managed to give up Alcohol for Lent so when I had a glass of something last night it went straight to my eyes so I'm still cheap to run.
Been a bit behind with the blog, last thing I mentioned was Tina Turner as we were heading to see her in Manchester at the MEN. I tell you what, we witnessed something incredibly special that night, the woman is amazing and a true star in every sense of the word. A pal of mine had seen Lionel Richie the week before and she'd been told off for dancing in the aisle, mind you she's about to hit a funny age so we'll let her off.
Glyn's Mum and Dad have been over so we were out and about for a couple of days, visited Shobdon Church which was nice as I used to chat about it on the Radio so was good to finally see it, bumped into the organiser of the Herefordshire Food Festival whilst we were out and it's confirmed I'll see you in October at Hereford Racecourse and only four weeks to go to the Spring Show at Malvern so maybe see you there.
Animal news, and we're having a right problem with the grass not growing, I know we're not alone but I've had to go back to buffer feeding the cows hay again and even bought some fertiliser which is a first for the field. Done the half they're not in, by hand! Bearing in mind it's on a hill and it was hot on Saturday I'm hoping it's done wonders for the largest muscles in my body, I keep checking to see if it's grown yet - I'm sure the neighbours think I'm mad.
Off now to toast a very special woman who I miss dearly and think about every single day, my Mum Shirley x
