Monday 15 February
I write this just as Glyn has finished washing the dog and a hen walks past the window. Been a good few days if not a little busy.
We took his Mum and Dad up to Southport as they’re staying there for two weeks courtesy of The Royal British Legion. We found a super B&B for the night and had a good few hours looking at the shops and buildings before eating in the evening. Did something I’ve not done before (obviously hit an age where I can), I sent a glass of wine back as it tasted dodgy.
I did like Southport, I imagine it’s a lot better when it’s warm, but it was nice just to walk on the flat. We treated ourselves to the large triangular shaped chocolate and on the way to the train station I discovered a shop where I bought a pair of jeans reduced to seven pounds!

Couldn’t believe how clean the trains and stations were at Southport and then Liverpool Parkway. It went downhill when we arrived in Crewe sadly, but plans are in place to do it up which is good.
Not happened for a while, but I’ve got an urge, I fancy a traditional hen house for the woodland for the hens to stay until November so keeping an eye open for one, and I had a surprise email the other day from Sunshine Radio to do some cover for them at weekends, so might just get those headphones back on yet.
