Wednesday 17 September

I've just been spending a bit of time sorting out what I'm going to be saying tonight when I go and chat with the boys and girls from Tenbury British Legion. It's a busy one this week as tomorrow I'll be working alongside Sharron Davies as I'm hosting an awards ceremony in Worcester, I've had a look at her website, she's not very beautiful bless her, thank goodness she's had the swimming to fall back on!!!

Staying with sport, I'll be sad to see the end of the Paralympics, it's been fantastic and so inspirational. Hats off to Clare Balding from the BBC who I think has done a fantastic job, a pal of mine was working out there for radio at the Olympics and tells me she is a very nice person as well so we like that. One thing now it's over I may be able to try some eye makeup again as it was no good having it on whilst watching the tele, the most incredible achievements we've seen and very humbling.

Seven weeks today we should be launching focalradio.com and so far it looks like I'm promised twenty two listeners! if you want to become one of the immortal first thirty, then do let me know and you will be forever thus.

It's also one hundred days today until Christmas, Libby's brothers and sisters are a week old so looking forward to going to see them. I have promised Glyn that I won't be swayed and bring another one home, I don't think he believes me. It's also our wedding anniversary a week today, and no doubt he'll be watching the video again backwards so he can leave the church a free man!
