Friday 1 August

Close call today as I nearly brought another Golden Retriever home and I only went to visit a pal, so staying in for the next few days!

Can't believe we're in August already, and this time tomorrow hopefully Tenbury Show will have had a bumper year especially as it celebrates it's 150th anniversary. Good luck to everybody involved, when you think how the floods have affected the town this past twelve months it needs a boost and lets hope this will do the trick. We're heading over in the morning to help set up so here's to a good turnout.

Really excited for Glyn today as we can officially announce now that he, alongside old friend Sam Plank, are to be part of a brand new radio station setting up in Staffordshire and Cheshire. They should be going live in September, they are a good team at www.focalradio.com and a lot of ex BBC employees are part of it, so here's to new beginnings for them.

I tell you what we've been doing this past couple of weeks when the hens have been put away and the dogs walked is re-living '24' on DVD with Kiefer Sutherland. It's fantastic, so another one tonight I reckon, but I do believe Horatio is back on Tuesday in CSI Miami so I'm afraid the phone will be off whilst I indulge in a little escapism.

Yet again I've received some lovely comments from you either via the website, direct emails or cards through the post redirected from work. Thank you so much, I do appreciate them and I hope you all keep in touch wherever I end up. A lot of you saying you'll be listening when I'm back on a radio station, no pressure then - I might not remember what to do although having found my old school report it turns out I use to do a lot of talking back then as well.

Maybe see you at Tenbury x
