Tuesday 1 December
Just looked in the mirror and I'm turning into my Mum! Mind you it's been a busy time and the aim is to get all my jobs done so I can have Christmas off which hasn't really happened for years.
Good Food Show was interesting, it was great to be part of it and a fair few celebrities were spotted but being in the NEC for five days you just lose all concept of time as you don't get to see daylight or feel fresh air, so weird feeling but we had a good one. Glyn did all the camera work on stage, and me the talking, we do try and swap but because I'm short I can't always reach the important focus end!
One thing you do get to see at places like that is human nature in action and to be honest, it's not always pleasant. Saw the Hairy Bikers and it looks like they're heading our way again next year, I'll let you know when it's confirmed.
First night we got home and we discovered we'd had a water leak from the bathroom through to the lounge so had to live without running water for two days. We had power cuts too and to top it all, the van we hired lost it's main lights.
That was our last show for this year, so back to writing this week and doing a spot of filming too for a DVD we've been asked to make for the Three Counties Showground.
Away from work we went to see Worcester Warriors play on Friday and we were invited into the new stand, wow, what a view, incredible facility and they drew against top of the table Saracens which was good. Our only worry was having no water or power we didn't know whether we'd need to apologise for what we were wearing and how we smelt, but after all that running up and down and getting muddy we probably fitted in quite well.
