Friday 22 August
Just been watching the men's polo from the Olympics, tell you what girls, it's better when they get out of the pool! It's not been a bad games has it, must say a lot of attractive men have taken part and I think it may have inspired Glyn to go for a six pack, yesterday he was trying to balance a can of lager on his belly, only another five to go.
Speaking of the other half, remind me not to always go along with what he says having convinced me that a self service till is the way forward at the supermarket - believe you me, by the time we had fiddled about arguing with the machine we could have served by 'Sarah' at least three times.Whoever looks after those machines must have a laugh all day, and if that voice told me once more to replace the scanned item I may have been tempted to pull it's plug out the back.
I found something on the road again today as we travelling home from Staffordshire, I've come across quite a lot over the last couple of weeks, run over lambs left for dead, a St Bernard dog who slobbered all over me, and today it was a loose bullock (there's nothing worse), anyway, another happy ending. I'm obviously going to be one of those people who will never win the lottery but destined to keep finding lost souls - back to Glyn again!
Got a few days off now although Glyn is presenting breakfast at Radio Bristol that gives me time to sort out what we're selling at a car boot sale we've found for Bank Holiday Monday - the last time I did one I got out the car and straight away trod on an upside down horseshoe which still had nails in it - not so lucky, let's hope for better luck this time.
By the way we're aiming for a November 5th launch date for Focal Radio so any ideas of what you'd like to hear, then let me know.
Whatever you're up to, have a good one.
