I've finally taken the bag off my head after working with Sharron Davies at an awards evening last Thursday. I was hosting the event with Sharron as special guest where she gave us an insight in to this years Olympic Games as Sharron was over in Beijing covering the swimming for the BBC. Sharron also gave out the awards which represented trainees, employers and sponsors covering Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.
She was lovely, not only tall, slim, attractive and blonde but also a very nice person with a sense of humour so a great night had by all, and can't wait for the photos as there was a good foot difference in height between us.
I like Worcester Sixways as a venue, infact I'm back there again in a couple of weeks. Not only do you get to have a sneak preview of the pitch but you get to spot the odd rugby player coming out of the gym!
Been a busy weekend, pal of mine had her fortieth on Saturday night which saw us not getting to bed until two in the morning and I can't remember the last time that happened, talk about dirty stop outs. Couldn't totally relax though as it meant leaving the hens out until we got home but pleased to report that all eight still alive and well, and if anything we had six eggs the following morning so I reckon they were having their own party!
Thinking about it, I wonder if it's due to the amount of eggs that's inspired me to start cooking. I love it, but I tell you that a banana loaf doesn't last very long!
Did you see Strictly Come Dancing? my pal Anton with his low cut top showing off his hairy chest - I can tell you having been up close and personal with the guy that it's stuck on! He'll be coming on the show to tell us the behind the scenes gossip so hoping he'll stay in for a bit as there's another six weeks to go before we're on air.
I'm going to be meeting the gang at 'The Donna Louise Trust' tomorrow which is the children's hospice serving Staffordshire and South Cheshire. They'll be regularly featured on my show on Focal Radio and having spent time with 'Acorns' which serves Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire I know they'll be an amazing lot and looking forward to working with them.
Wedding Anniversary this wednesday, the meal is booked and I've only got forty eight hours to lose a stone!
