We're still here! Hedgebottomhome fell over for a time, the website not the building itself, but we're up and running again and thank you to those who got in touch via email to check we were okay - bet you thought we'd won the lottery and sold up!
Things have been happening though what with Barack Obama being sworn in this week, nice to see he's left handed and what was it invented in the news? a non drip teapot.
Been a first for me this week too, I did an interview with my financial expert on the show and the clips were used for Commercial Radio all across the country both local and national so I was quite chuffed about that.
Have you ever found anything when you've been out and about, reason I ask is that I took the girls out for a run and to cut a long story short, we rescued a hen that had obviously been out all night, sadly we did spook it and it ended up in a fast flowing river but yours truly kept her shoes on and went after it (why in the films you always see them take their shoes off first?). Anyway, having retrieved the wet chicken it was then a case of knocking on a few doors and saying 'I've found your hen' but no one was missing one so where did it come from and what was I going to do with it, well for twenty four hours it had a box on the Rayburn in the kitchen! Next door neighbour has her now as I didn't fancy saving it's life one day and then finding a pile of feathers the next thanks to the Buzzard. Still got my five and doing everything to avoid any of them ending up as it's next meal.
Speaking of food, popped in to a certain store on the way home last night that's not been open that long, you know the one, 'there's food and then there's' anyway, couldn't believe how much Danish ham they stock so I told them how disappointed I was, not that it does anything but felt I had to - had an urge and believe me that doesn't happen that often!
Still have a sore mouth from a dentist visit this week, I'm sure I read somewhere that red wine helps - off to give it a try!
