Saturday 25 April
We've been watching the practice sessions and the qualification for the Bahrain Grand Prix and to think that last year we were there. Both of us have said we must go back as it was such a lovely clean circuit with a fantastic atmosphere, so here's to the winning lottery numbers tonight!
We've taken the fence down today so the Cows have the whole field to go at, think the grass is beginning to grow slowly, the rain last night would have helped but still buffer feeding them hay. Over the past few days I've also had an urge to get a couple of sheep or cade lambs so on the look out at the moment.
Had a serious reply from Kit Kat (which was a shame as mine was quite funny I thought), so I've got a voucher to spend and knowing my track record it'll stay in my handbag for the next two years at least!
A couple from Monmouth bought our old Hen House this last week and I think I've convinced them to have their hens from The Battery Hen Welfare Trust, they were very complimentary about ours and how well they looked which was good to hear and they were surprised how ours have never stopped laying - too much of a good thing they've got going I reckon.
We've got a lot of baby birds around at the moment, mainly Robins and Blackbirds so looking out for our neighbours three cats. I know Magpies and Squirrels come in for bad press when it comes to casualties but your domestic moggy is the worst offender I'm afraid.
Hope you have a good weekend, think of us watching the Grand Prix tomorrow and here's to a good one.
