Tuesday 26 August

Well we did it, car boot sale yesterday, no injuries, nice people were met and to top it all we made some money. Did promise Glyn that if we beat the fifty pound mark I'd treat us to a bottle of Asti, ten minutes after walking in the door we were both asleep!
Still got half the stuff to sell so looking out for another one, so maybe then we'll get to drink it!
Been quite a successful couple of days as we're now officially a smallholding even though a very small one, we have our herd number and we can now have our Highland Cows here so hopefully within the next two weeks we'll be up and running.
As for work, I'm out and about in Cheshire and Staffordshire and really nice to chat to people who remember me from my Radio Stoke days, and just to let you know closer to home, I've been asked to host the Cookery Theatre at the Autumn Show at Malvern on Sunday 28 September so if you're heading over there, do come along and say hello.
Was quite sad to see the Olympics end, not sure about our eight minute presentation although David Beckham was gorgeous as ever, so here's to 2012 and I guess like so many I'd love to just go and sample a piece of it, the Olympics that is and not Mr Beckham! Good to see the youngsters getting enthused as well, just driven through Tenbury Wells on the way home and witnessed a lovely lad chasing hell for leather after a dog who had escaped it's owner and was heading towards the main road, he didn't half have to run to catch it, but catch it he did - I wound my window down to say well done, his smile was worth every effort and he even thanked me - pity we can't give medals out for other things isn't it, maybe we should.
