Thursday 26 March
Not sure where the time has gone, but it's over a week since I last blogged. Bit of a waiting game at the moment as tomorrow sees the return of the vet to see if the cows have reacted to their Bovine TB test. There is no reason to think they have but sadly I have no faith in it. The numbers of cattle being slaughtered is frightening and the problem is not being addressed. I went for an interview for 'Farming Today' fifteen years ago and I was asked what I thought would be the next big story in Agriculture and I said 'TB in cattle' and I remember them disagreeing with me, perhaps one of the reasons I didn't get the job.
Only good thing about tomorrow is that I've been promised the best looking vet who just so happens to play rugby, I've told a couple of pals who will be around to look out for him as it's also due to rain so at least something to look forward to!
Rabbits seem to be back in the garden as do the Deer, watched a Nuthatch checking out a Blue Tit box yesterday and funny to see two of the hens taking a dislike to a female Pheasant who thought she'd have an easy meal.
Glyn is back in Gloucester tomorrow, Tina Turner concert is looming and another Car Boot we think this weekend especially as we've realised it's Glyn's Mum and Dads Diamond Anniversary in the week so must do something. Speaking of doing, best tidy, the vet may want a coffee!
