Sunday 2 November
Good night yesterday at the Tenbury Bonfire and Fireworks, it was the twenty ninth one hosted by the boys from the Tenbury Round Table and this year proceeds going to County Air Ambulance, so good on you if you were there and here's to next year. It was nice last night as Glyn and I took the Focal Radio Van and it was amazing how many people came up to it to say hello, and the boss has said if it goes well in Staffordshire and Cheshire, who knows we may be setting up another one in Herefordshire and Worcestershire!
Can't believe we launch on Wednesday, feeling a little strange to be honest having had my confidence knocked at BBC H&W but I am really looking forward to it and the studios are fantastic. I did my bit of ice skating on Friday and thinking it may be another thirty years before I do it again.
Away from the radio and a suggestion that men's wee will keep foxes away from the hens! I have mentioned this to Glyn and the fact that we're not overlooked by anyone but don't think he's too keen.
I felt dreadful the other day as Tess the Collie went on walk about and hadn't returned when we left. Of course it has to snow on that very day so when we get home, our neighbour Jules comes out of her garage with Tess and tells us that the bright intelligent dog that she is had gone to Jule's kitchen, looked through the window and then had stayed there, so being the very kind person that she is took her in - not in her house as she has cats - and then had kept Tess company in the garage (deck chair and flask to prove it) until our return, also giving her a tin of cat food and half a pack of Rich Tea biscuits! can I mention at this time that we weren't gone long, we do feed our dogs and I'm sure Tess would have been perfectly all right on her own. Jules says I would have done exactly the same!
Off to get the hay this afternoon for the cows, just hope the wind dies down otherwise it'll be everywhere, and then settling down to the Grand Prix. Had a text from friends who are holidaying in Australia who are going to be watching, so go Lewis!
