Wednesday 5 November
After five months away from a microphone, the time came today to say hello again and yes I was nervous and felt a little rusty, but after a while realised how much I had missed it and was nice to chat to you again. Huge thank you to those who took the time to email me both at home and whilst I was on air, did make me smile to see so many place names from Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and a couple of cards from pals from H&W too - Teresa, Anita and Max which was nice.
Been a funny couple of days trying to get in to a new routine, so what with looking after the feathered and the furries, trying to keep the house looking like it hasn't had forty people in for a party whilst launching a new radio station I knew something would give, and sure enough we ran out of toilet roll!
Great result for Lewis Hamilton on Sunday even though my nerves were a little frayed by the end, huge news today with Barack Obama or should that be Bob the Builder as his slogan has been 'Yes we can'!
Seems a good guy and not unpleasant to look at! with that in mind, a certain magazine tells us that women look to men's forearms to see if they're attractive, the equivalent of our cleavage they say, guess we'll have to wait until summer for the full affect.
Spoke to my mate on the show today, just rang Anton on the off chance and he came on which was great. Can't believe it's four years ago when Mr Du Beke came to Malvern to teach me and the listeners to dance. I did ask where he kept his keys in his lycra suit in 'Hole in the Wall' and all I can say is that he wears nothing else under it - that's at least one more viewer then this week!
Huge thank you again for all your support both for me and Glyn, it means a lot.
