Friday 5 September

I’m writing this as my local town Tenbury Wells is being evacuated due to rising flood water, this after being flooded three times in three weeks only last year. Some of the businesses have not even opened since then so it’s the last thing the town needs. My heart goes out to them, and just hope something is done to help this pretty town that has suffered since losing it’s cattle market and is still counting the cost of the past twelve months, there was hope that flood defences would happen but they were decided against!

Horrendous conditions around here tonight, it took us three hours just to get the final five miles of our journey from Staffordshire due to flooded roads, really quite frightening at times and it seems that the past couple of years it’s become a familiar sight. Our neighbours have either ended up with water in their home or a washed away driveway, we’ve been lucky as the water has been able to run past our kitchen door and away - if anything was going to test my new aromatherapy roll on anti perspirant it was today

Sadly more rain expected over the weekend, if we weren’t launching Focal Radio, think we’d be booking a trip to Cyprus, and with only three eggs from the hens, it looks like we’re not the only ones feeling it.

Whatever you’re doing this weekend, take care and here's to a good result for Lewis Hamilton in the Belgium Grand Prix, I imagine it’s drier there.
