Wednesday 6 August

Been away from the computer for a few days as we've had friends over including ten year old twin girls and their four year old sister, so to say the house now is a little quiet is an understatement, and I have to say I miss them already. It's been good fun, we've been to Ironbriidge, West Midlands Safari Park and today Berrington Hall. The only dampner on their stay was coming across a lamb on Clee Hill who had been run over and just left in the middle of the road, and then cars driving around her, so we pulled over, carried her to the side and sorted her out, she was still alive for goodness sake, how can people do that?
Tenbury Show on Saturday was good, and it looks like I've bought my two Highland Cows so sorting that out this week, and then on the Sunday it was the 10k run in the town where Glyn and I tried to announce the runners as they came back in, didn't take the binoculars so it's almost like our yearly optician test as we squint at their numbers as they come in! There was a chap called Wilf who was running at the age of seventy seven, an inspiration to us all, I thought about him as I had my glass of wine that night.
Once again thank you for the kind messages you've been sending, it was my last official day with the BBC today so that's another glass of wine tonight!
So no children to have fun with, Glyn is working and I can't do what I want to do in the house until we do a car boot, so it looks like I'll have to go out tomorrow so Burwarton Show is on, and it's somewhere I've always fancied going so I'll let you know how I got on, lets hope for no rain as my wellies have seen better days.
