Tuesday 6 January

Aside from the water troughs freezing up in this cold weather, the other problem is getting up our hill, took me ten minutes yesterday and just about to tackle it again now!
It's lovely when you don't have to go out in it, had a scary moment coming home last night, hit a patch of water from a burst pipe and needless to say me and the car auditioned for Dancing on Ice, and I think I even said 'Bolero' afterwards!
Got to take down the decorations this evening, get the tree out and then stand back and see how much room we have now.
Spoke to Claire Richards on the show yesterday, formerly of 'Steps' and you've probably seen her in magazines of late as she's lost five stone and has released a fitness DVD. What a nice person, wish her all the best and it's one thing losing it isn't it, but keeping it off is the hard part, I thought I'd caught her out when we first said hello as she was eating but it turned out to be a piece of cabbage, I didn't reveal I'd just had a chocolate biscuit so fibbed and said it was a Satsuma!
My favourite sport is taking place at the moment, and one I'd love to go and see in action, it's Ski Jumping. I think I fell in love with it when my Mum and Dad took me away for our one and only foreign holiday. I was ten years old, we visited Innsbruck and saw the hill there which was used for the previous years Winter Olympics.
That hill has since been replaced and today sees the final of the Four Hills Tournament which I'm hoping Glyn has remembered to record for me!
We don't get to see each other much in the week which is hard, he's gone by three in the morning, I leave home just before lunchtime and get home somewhere between seven thirty and eight o'clock at night, and that's the first time I see him on that day.  I know it won't be forever, probably harder because of the time of year.
Got to go, hill to climb!
