Friday 8 August
So today is supposed to be the luckiest day due to the fact it’s 08/08/08 so I’ve bought a lottery ticket ready, so if this is the last blog ever, you know I’ve hit the jackpot!
Got very excited yesterday as I registered Hedgebottom Home as a holding ready for the Highland Cows who will be arriving very soon, so now I'm just waiting for the confirmation so I can then go for a herd number – all this for two animals!
Can’t believe it’s the weekend already, I’ve got another week off and then I’m back at work (tell you more Monday) and some more compere dates have come through too so really pleased about that. I’ll keep popping them on to the website so if you’re heading to the event please come and say hello. Saw a few familiar faces at Burwarton Show yesterday which was nice, if you were there, it was busy wasn’t it!
Hens are thriving and I’ve been offered another hen house so I can take on a few more ex battery girls which is great. They are so addictive, and eggs are a bonus. We’re getting five eggs every day with the occasional six, and the yolks now are so yellow due to them eating grass they’re fantastic. Libby the Retriever has finally learnt not to go near the electric fence, and Tess the Collie surprised me the other night - I was putting them away early as CSI Miami was on - three wouldn’t go in so she just leapt over the fence and then they did!
Enjoy your weekend, anyone for an omelette?
