Monday 8 September

Hard to believe but no rain today, certainly taken the pressure off a little bit but more on it's way tomorrow. Next door have been busy throwing carpets away and cleaning, a combination of sheep poo and dirty water was the verdict, and after doing all that Julie (neighbour) kindly made us some lamb samosas! As for us, we've been taking advantage of the dry to sort the hens out, anyone know if you can buy hen wellies?
Still trying to decide whether the anti perspirant aromatherapy roll on is doing what it says it should, although how many times are you asked in the street where to get a suspender belt? that's what happened today, made me smile though as it was for a lady to keep her DVT tights up during a trip to America!
Thinking of conversations that make you smile - I was chatting with my pal from Nantwich over the weekend and had a few words with her four year old daughter who has just started school. As you do I asked how she was enjoying it and who her best friend is thinking another little girl, to which I was told 'it's a boy Auntie Katie, I can't remember his name but his dog is called Alfie!' You see fellas, it begins at a young age, you'll always be second fiddle to a canine.
Looking forward to this coming saturday as it's the Droitwich Salt Festival, if you're heading that way please come and say hello, and yet again I'm thinking 'I wish I'd lost that stone!'
