Monday 9 November
Bought something yesterday that I've always wanted since growing up in the seventies, I can remember them coming out for the first time and only being sold in posh furniture stores with the price tag around £78 which is why I never had one of course, but now, thirty years on I've got one, a vintage Paddington Bear! It doesn't take much to make me happy, mind you I wouldn't have minded a little bit of the massive Euro win over the weekend, can't help thinking that £45 million pounds is far too much though, scary amount. It would be great to pay off the mortgage and then buy a bit more land for the cows!
Speaking of which, they are coming back home this weekend to be wormed and all that, and friends from Dorstone will be keeping an eye on me as I put the cows halters on as I can't afford another incident with a horn so hoping for some good advice from the experts.
All the hens are now together and getting on which is encouraging, especially as it's getting noticeably cooler so good for them to keep each other warm.
Trying to write my next column at the moment for Herefordshire & Shropshire Life, it could be a long night!
